Typical Conversation for the Dansies

ME: (prompted by the warning ding of a flashing red dash light) "Oh gosh, sweetie, look, it says the jeep is low on coolant." ( just like that too, all calm and observant-like)

BARRY: "Nah, I just had it serviced before select home." (if he hadn't been driving I'd have gotten a 'litle lady' pat on the top of my head)

ME: (After several more episodes of dinging and urgent message delivery by the insisent red coolant-gone light) "Uh, maybe they failed to fill it?...."

BARRY: (slightly more patientnwith a thinly veiled helping of exasperation) "Nonsense! Look there's a sticker right here in the window!"

Me: (But only inside my head) "Oh of course, a sticker! It can't possibly be low, there's a sticker!

SUBJECT NOW OFFICIALLY CLOSED DESPITE THE PERSISTENT EFFORTS OF THE JEEP TO EXPRESS IT'S COOLANT ADDLED DISTRESS......

SEVERAL HOURS LATER BARRY PICKS ME UP FROM MY SPA APPOINT (hello, it's Vegas for heaven!s sake...) Several minutes of conversational review of our respective activities of the day and THERE IT IS! BURIED ON PAGE 3 OF THE CONVERSATION:

BARRY: "Went by the auto parts store for a lamp for the headlight and got some coolant..."

ME: (after a sustained and co portaging silence in which I casually glanced at the now silenced dash display) "Coolant?"

BARRY: "Ahem, Uh, yeah, turns out is was low...."

ME: (probably in my inside the head voice - relatively sure I didn't actually say this out loud....) "AH HA!!!!"

BARRY: "It wasn't like it was 'dangerously low."

Well all righty then.
